History

Two ministers were licensed to preach the gospel (Jeff and Bridgette Elam) and to join the leadership team in 2007 and in 2008 Minister Charlesetta Hawkinss was licensed.. Many highlights of what God is doing at STCC (Afterschool Program-KidZone) can be Seen as you visit and experience the Glory of God.

During this great move of God, Pastor Carter had the favor of God to meet Pastor Bill Heaton of Berean Baptist Church who asked, “Who’s supporting you?” Pastor Carter responded by saying, “God said to plant and He would provide.” Needless to say a partnership between Berean was established between the two churches.

Pastor Carter was then introduced to Mideast Baptist Conference a district of General Baptist Conference who is dedicated to Missions and Church Planting. Being the humble man of God he is, Pastor Carter then went into accountability to the organization and planned to re-launch the ministry.

After being sent to a Church Planting Assessment Center, Pastor Carter was then approved and a partnership and vision plan was agreed upon by STCC, Berean, and MBC. A new launch of the ministry is set for the fall of 2008.

There are still more plans for further growth within the City of Spirit and Truth.

This vision embraces the ministry of the five-fold ministry gifts given to the church by Jesus Christ, which are the Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Teacher, and the Pastor. These gifts operating together bring forth a Church that is mature and scripturally sound and fundamentally stable.

We agree that this would be congregation that would come from behind the walls and embrace the faith community, and any social/human service organizations, which are seeking to serve all people and who are seeking spiritual connection or guidance.

We have already collaborated with Berean Baptist Church, Youth for Christ, Mansfield City Schools, Ministerial Alliance, Prospect Elementary School and more services have been discussed.
